God's presence is a shield like no other. You can not see it or hold it; you just have to trust that it is there and it is going to protect you. We are only safe when we are behind this shield. The only way we can be shielded is when we have faith that He is here right with us. Our faith is what truly guards us. God is always present, and will not act unless there is a sign of faith. I think God does this just to deepen a relationship with us. He wants our hearts attuned to Him so that we can be connected. When we have this connection, our faith becomes our shield.
When we truly believe that God is our shield, we are able to walk tall in times of trouble and distress. Our head becomes lifted and His glory manifests upon us. In this hard time, we may not feel that, but when you press on it becomes evident in your life. If we just have the smallest faith that He is with us, we become unstoppable.
